Master Johnson taught me how to shoot over 13 years ago, and I still find myself thinking about the lessons he shared with me all those years ago. That alone is a testament to how well his teaching sticks with you. He is one of the most respectable, humble, knowledgeable, and safety-conscious firearms instructors I’ve ever known. He has a way of teaching that builds both confidence and responsibility, and his depth of experience is immediately apparent. This man truly knows his craft—and his skill is remarkable. I’m grateful that the foundation of my firearms training began with him, and I would confidently recommend Master Johnson to anyone looking to learn in a safe, disciplined, and highly knowledgeable environment.

Ben Johnson, Sa Bom Nim (Master) as I refer to him, has taken me under his wing over the past 6 years. I used to work for his martial arts school and he quickly turned into a mentor. While he knows a plethora of Tang Soo Do, there’s one thing he has more knowledge of firearms. When I first started learning how to shoot and handle firearms, I had a fear of them. However, with the right teacher (Ben Johnson), that goes away. He has always encouraged young women (including myself) to learn how to use a firearm and carry because of how unsafe it can be for us in this world. Not only does he teach a wonderful LTC class to spread the knowledge, but he has had a women's shooting team in the past and is now looking to bring back that bada** team. He’s trustworthy, knowledgeable, and he’s like the dad you didn’t know you needed. Sa Bom Nim, count me in on the new team!
